E407 - Homeland Security Planning for Local Governments (TTT)

Course Description:

This course prepares participants to deliver EMI’s Terrorism Planning Course (G408). In this train-the-trainer, you not only hear from experienced trainers who have taught this course, we will also assign you a module to deliver. We will send you the CD-ROM material before your arrival so you may familiarize yourself with the course and begin preparing your module.

Selection Criteria:

You must be willing and able to deliver the course; be actively involved in emergency management (including, but not limited to fire, emergency medical services, public health, public works, and law enforcement); and be experienced in adult training methods.

Prerequisites:

Required:

Participants should have a working knowledge of emergency planning (as articulated in FEMA’s Guide for All-Hazard Emergency Operations Planning), the Incident Command System and or emergency operating center operations, and adult teaching methodologies.

Recommended:

Participation in the field version of this course (G408).

Course Length: 4 days
