Course Description:

This course is intended to identify Tribal organizational structures, operational procedures, and resources for effective emergency management operations..

Course Goal:

• Develop a strategy to garner support for emergency management
• Improve existing operational plans
• Identify people and organizations to perform emergency roles
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for use when the Emergency Operations Plan is implemented

Course Length:

This course is 4 full days. Travel days are Sunday and Friday.

Target Audience :

This course is intended for anyone who works in or with tribal governments who needs to prepare for working in disasters operations or emergency management.

Continuing Education Units:

EMI awards 3.1 CEUs for completion of this course.

Location:

National Emergency Training Center, Emergency Management Institute, Emmitsburg, Maryland.
