IEMC Open Enrollment

There are two versions of open enrollment IEMCs, based on different hazards:

  • Preparedness and Response
  • Recovery and Mitigation

Open enrollment Integrated Emergency Management Courses (IEMCs) comprise students from different jurisdictions across the country.  Open enrollment IEMCs use a fictitious jurisdiction, (Central City and Liberty County), a model community in which emergencies occur and to which students respond during the exercises.  In open enrollment courses, students fulfill the roles of officials, managers, and technical specialists of Central City and Liberty County Emergency Operations Center (EOC). See Who Should Attend.
