Course Overview

The IS-613 Technical Writing course is designed as an asynchronous course. This course supports the Master Trainer professional and communication foundational competencies of the instructional design certificate program. The course will consist of multiple modules instructing to the comprehension of research, writing, and graphic communications principles.

Course Objectives:

At the conclusion of the IS-613 Technical Writing course, the participant will be able to;

  1. Identify the proper use of research in training project development.
  2. Describe the various characteristics of written communications.
  3. Explain the communication features of graphics and visual media.

Primary Audience

The audience for this course consists of training personnel and managers and those who wish to gain knowledge and skills in the areas of training and development.
