The National Emergency Management Executive Academy

Fourth Session: E0686 Exercising Emergency Management Executive Policy and Decision-making

Course Overview

E0686 is being offered by the Emergency Management Institute (EMI) in partnership with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX). This final session in the EMEA requires the Cohort to apply what they have learned during the previous three sessions and challenges them with a simulated cascading, catastrophic disaster. Management and leadership behaviors, including policy and strategy level decision-making, are emphasized throughout the week. This session places the Cohort in difficult emergency management situations, resulting in personal stress while exploring leadership, decision-making, and policy making methodologies during adversity. Participants will benefit from subject matter expert feedback throughout the week.
