MASTER TRAINER CERTIFICATE

The Master Trainer Certificate provides an individual the opportunity to have their expertise in Instruction, Instructional Design, and Training Management be recognized at the Master level. A certificate of completion for the Master Trainer Certificate will be awarded upon completion of certificate requirements.

Application Requirements: Prospective participants in this certificate program should submit an application letter requesting enrollment in the program to NETC Admissions, 16825 S. Seton Ave. Emmitsburg, MD, 21727. The enrollment request should include the individual’s certificates of completions for the Instructor Certificate, Instructional Design Certificate, and Training management Certificate programs.

MTP Training Management Certificate

Required Research Paper for Certificate Completion:

Each participant in the certificate program will be required to complete a research-to-application paper regarding the outcomes of implementation of recommendations from previous program research papers. This paper will provide a synopsis of the issues research results and recommendations from each of the research papers developed from the Instructor Certificate, Instructional Design Certificate, and Training Management Certificate; the research model used in collecting data to evaluate the implementation of recommendations resulting from research, the results of analysis of data, and a recommendations on continued improvement in your organization’s training programs.

Required Portfolio of Work for Certificate Completion:

Each participant in the certificate program will be required to submit of a portfolio of work products across the areas of instruction, instructional design, and training management, compiled from their normal duties as a training professional. These products will be used to assess the individual’s mastery of the concepts, theories, and skills practiced across all areas of the training profession. The required work products are:

Instruction

  • List of courses the participant is required to teach, including the length of each course and number of times each year the course is delivered.
  • Copies of formal instructor evaluations received during the previous 12 months.
  • Video of the participant in an instructor role, teaching a lesson or module of a course. The course title (and number if applicable) and lesson topic title must be provided with the video.

Instructional Design

  • List of course development projects the participant has actively developed materials for during the last 24 months.
  • Copies of the materials that the participant developed. These materials should represent the participant’s work, not work completed as a group, or managed by the participant.

Training Management

  • Descriptions of the training programs that the participant directly manages, including course descriptions, target audience, student throughput numbers, and program resources utilized (number of instructors, training facilities, training technology, etc.) for each program managed.
  • Descriptions of the training projects that the participant directly manages, including a synopsis of the project management plan, resources assigned, work breakdown structure, project timeline, and analysis of project efficiency (such as Earned Value Management (EVM)) for each project managed.
  • Copy of the training program budget the participant developed for the previous two years.
